LIFE. LOVE. HAPPINESS.

Life is HARD.

Growing up and being and “adult” is one of the scariest things I’ve ever faced. Flying away to Neverland is becoming more and more appealing as the seconds tick by and I start to notice my life fluttering away into the air. But I’ve learned to live my life to the fullest because we only get one on this earth.

”We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one.”

-Confucius

Love is HARD.

Love is something that, as humans, we all inherently feel. So why is it so difficult to find and grow? Love is as fleeting as a cool breeze and twice as unpredictable. I don’t pretend to know much about love or life, but I do know that one is unbearable without the other. To love and to be loved is one of the greatest treasures that life has to offer.

Happiness is HARD.

There is no formula, flowchart, or treasure map that leads to a giant red “X” that marks happiness. Though it seems to come hand-in-hand with success, fame, fortune, and other such general greatness, these material pleasures do not guarantee happiness bestowed on the recipient. Happiness is often something to be worked at. You must find reasons to be happy, and sometimes, there are not many.

So while you try to make it through this crazy existence we call “life”, don’t dwell on the small inadequacies that swirl around in your head and crush you. Learn to laugh, seek love, treasure happiness, and enjoy the ride. And learn to forgive yourself.
